RETRACTIONS, RECANTS, AND CORRECTIONS :: Simply Jimmy D :: Breakin' News or Breakin' Balls: It's all the same to me!

jimmyd _writes "Wow! My Sin City story garnered me a bunch of emails and telephone calls over the weekend. It seems I reported a number of things in error--in serious error.

As a porn journalist, i.e., as a seeker of the truth, it's my duty to correct any falshehoods that show up on my site. I think everyone who reads this column would agree that the truth, above all else, should be held in the highest regard. And it is the goal of this website to print the truth wherever and whenever possible...even at the extreme risk of not being particularly funny.

With this in mind, please allow me to correct some of the alleged false statements that I--in a hasty and cavalier manner--ran in my Sin City story:

1. First of all, it was completely incorrect and insensitive of me to refer to Raven and Justice as comic book superheroes. They are not, superheroes. They are uber-heroes.

2. Next, the heart-shaped Sin City logo is not a Valentine's Day Commemorative Logo. Rather, it is a lovingly hand-crafted object d'art , designed by Sin City's world-renouned artists who spared no expense to try to (if you don't mind me quoting song lyrics) "...put a little love in your heart!" When it comes to porn, the Sin City motto is, "All you need is love!"

3. David Sturman does not own, nor has he ever owned, a white horse. If he did, he certainly wouldn't be riding it from the Bay Area to the West Valley as Versace doesn't sell a men's, equestrian, fashion line (with accessories).

4. There ARE Sin City employees and associates who are NOT Israeli, and who HAVE good parking spaces in the front of the building.

5. The scarey looking castle in the picture I ran with the story is not really the GVAwest Bulding. The fact is, the real GVAwest building is neither scarey nor a castle, and it is certainly not named after a fictitious estate built and owned by a power-crazed media mogul fictionalized in a 1940's RKO picture.

6. There is only one Matt Taylor at Sin City and he is Mark Snyder. According to my sources, Mark won and retained all Matt Taylor rights (copyright Mark Snyder, 2002) from David Sturman during a recent episode of the People's Court.

7. There has been NO infighting on the production team at Sin City, especially between anyone on the corporate levels of production directorships and/or executive producerships. In fact, all the ships are sailing smoothly and harmoniously on the Sin City Seas. The production team is, as they've always been, and most likely always will be, the creative powerhouse we know and love who bring us fresh and entertaining adult product.

8. The phone calls and emails I received seemed to indicate there were no errors in the portion of my story that reported on Sin City's PR guy, Scott Stein.

Well, there you have it. Never let it be said that simplyjimmyd.com is willing to sacrifice the truth for a few cheap laughs at the expense of others.
