Some of you might remember my recnt editorial regarding Extreme Associate's hiring of a Mother/Daughter incest team. If you don't remember what I had to say at the time, or did not read it and would like to now, here's the URL

Quite recently, according to generossextreme.com, a freelance writer named Amanda interviewed Gene Ross for an article she was writing about families in porn. The article is for Hustler. Amanda asked Gene about the Mother/Daughter incest couple. Here's an excerpt from Gene's interview:

Amanda: Have they generated a lot of interest? Did you get feedback on your website?

Gene: Yeah, mostly negative which was people in our own business.

Amanda: Why is that?

Gene: Because a lot of people in our business have no business being in porn to begin with. They're sensibilities I guess were a little offended. Or maybe because we got 'em first and they didn't which is the way I look at it.

Jimmyd Sez: Whoa! Wait a minute. Let's hear that Gene Ross off-the-cuff remark again.

JimmyD Sez: A lot of people in the biz have no business being in the business because they object to incest? Gene, tell me you didn't really say that. Tell me you don't really think that a prerequisite to working in the porn biz is endorsing a vile, disgusting, offensive act such as incest. Tell me you haven't become so jaded, so distant from the values of nearly the entire planet (and yes, I believe the great majority of the planet'S populace abhors incest!), that you truly believe pornographers should look at acts of actual incest the same way they look at any other sex act between consenting adults who are unrelated. Tell me that's not what you think? Tell me that's not where you really beleive our sensibilities should be.

JimmyD Sez More: Oh, and what was that other part you said? People (like me) might have objected because you maroons were first to shoot these degenerates, and so. we were envious? You really--in your heart of hearts--believe that? Dude, are you taking any new medication? Would you consider some sort of therapy? BECAUSE YOU ARE SO FREAKING OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY IT'S FUCKING SCARY! What other acts, should we as pornographers, accept without raising an eyebrow? which of these would you, Gene Ross, endorse? Beastiality? Sex with Pre-teens? Necrophilia? Snuff films? Reality Non-Consentual Films? C'mon Gene, let's hear your views on those acts. And I promise if you shoot any of these first, I won't be jealous.

Amanda: What kind of complaints did you get?

Gene: It was a one-day situation. Stories move on and this was another one of those. This wasn't hanging in the air like Enron.

Amanda: Can you say who complained.

Gene: A number of people did but the complaint that was most representative was one voiced by Jimmy D on simplyjimmyd.com. He wrote a bombast editorial against us a couple of weeks ago.

Amanda: Do you think it's the incest that bothers people? Or that people think the daughter is being taken advantage of?

Gene: I can't look into peoples' heads and what gets them upset about it. I suppose the concept of mother and daughter they find offensive. But the way we look at it, it was mutual consent and there's not a consensual act that's being conducted per se. It's not like father and daughter.

JimmyD Sez: Father and Daughter is different? Man, I'd love to hear you explain that one in greater detail, Baba Ram Ross.

Amanda: Do you think that would be more upsetting or do you think that Extreme would be comfortable running that?

Gene: A father and daughter? That's speculative and I couldn't answer that.

Amanda: How about you personally does that seem more shocking to you?

Gene: Nothing shocks me in this business; I've been a journalist 16 years in this industry and nothing shocks me.

Amanda: Have you heard of a father/daughter team?

Gene: No. But I'm sure there's a few of them out there in Arkansas, though none I can think of in this business.

JimmyD Sez: Man. Somebody needs a vacation. A long one.
