Mike South has had a number of opportunities to recognize simplyjimmyd.com and has apparently refused to do so. His latest refusal is to miscredit who broke a particular story, i.e., the AVN/LF.com merger. It's anyone's guess why ole, tired Mook South refuses to recognize the new, exciting, vibrant, funny, simplyjimmyd.com. Maybe it's insecurity? Feeblemindedness? Envy? Maybe he's just a dumb fuck hillbilly who doesn't know any better? I don't know. I'm not a name caller. I'll let you decide; you put the name to the blame. Mook doesn't have a problem referencing material from my site, though. He just has a problem giving credit for his source. Ok, enough's enough. Here's what Mook ran with on his site, Mook South.com, this morning:

I got an email yesterday from a fellow professing himself to be Jack Horner. Now I am hip that Jack Horner, in addition to the nursery Rhyme character was also the Burt Reynolds character in "Boogie Nights". Instead of just running the story without any sort of verification at all, I emailed Mr Horner, and invited him to either call me or email me back. To my surprise he called, he said he watches my site and when I heard him I recognized him as definitely a highly ranked industry insider. Don't even ask, I won't reveal his name. Anyway the email suggested that Martin Brimmer was going buy Lukeford.com. The immediate question in my mind was "why". So unlike Gene Ross who just ran the story I actually got the facts. Seems Horner sent that email to several people to see who would break the story without at least a little fact checking...Gene Ross had it up almost immediately with zero verification. I was the only one who actually attempted to verify the story, Horner says he doesn't hate Gene and he just wanted throw the story out there and see who would just pick it up as gospel, after all it came from an excite email account...It could have been from anyone. So once again be careful about what you believe from that particular website. Gene once had integrity and credibility, but his shenanigans with the morons where he works have completely destroyed that, I wouldn't believe him if he told me the sun was going to rise in the morning.

First of all, let's get the facts straight here: Gene Ross didn't break this story, JimmyD did. And I don't know who Mook's Little Jack Horner sent emails to, but he didn't send one to me. I've got my very own unsubstantiated sources, and I don't need Mook's. Which brings me to my unsubstantiated sources who gave me the story. No I didn't check shit. You know why? Because I got what we in the biz call 'gut feel.' And my back-East gut feel told me this was on the level. I don't need some nursery rhyme character telling me what's on the level and what's not. And I certainly don't need some Mook named South miscrediting me, dissing me, and/or ignoring me.

Hey, Little Jack Horner, whoever you are, here's a little nursery rhyme I made up for you:
