"I don't know what to say, I'm with T. Zupko tonight as we try to finish off the editing, we spoke, and I see a man like me, who is very torn, where have I been? He lost his job, his life has drastically changed. Perhaps all of this gossip and news is very harmful. I have to admit to my part of it, now it's time to repent. Where have I been? Thomas Zupko hasn't written in a while now his silence is broken after a long period of time. Who knows it could be you next." --Slain Wayne, SubVision Films.
Lemme help you out here, Slain. Try saying something like this: "There's a lot of freaking porn companies out there. If you're as good as you've so often stated you are, Tom, then go calling on some of these companies. Go there with some ideas. Go there with some itemized budgets. Show them what you've done. Pitch them. Hit them up for a gig. Make promises you probably can't or won't keep. Lie about your honesty. Tell the truth about your credits. Sell them. Impress them. Confuse them. Dazzle them with brilliance. Baffle them with bullshit. Mesmerize them with your vision. Stun them with your cinematic genius. In other words, welcome to the REAL world of most porn directors.
Here's a few places you can go and try--Sin City, Vivid, VCA, Wicked, Legend, New Sensations, Elegant Angel, Evil Angel, Fallen Angel, Midnight Angel (sheesh, a lot of angels in this business),Red Light, Anabolic, Diabolic, Heatwave, Cinderella, Gentleman's Video...and more.
