Ok, this morning I put out a little piece asking who the fuck this Flashman is, and I've gotten a number of responses.

AVN's Mark Kernes writes: "As far as I know, Flashman is The Artist Formerly Known As Flash Cadillac, of the band Flash Cadillac and the Something-Or-Others, which give you an idea of what kind of music I didn't follow. Not sure about this; just something I heard."

I did a little internet search to see if there was anything about Flash Cadillac and the something-or-others, and I found a website, flashcadillac.com. It's a rock-and-roll group claiming to be around since 1969.

There's a picture of the the Flash Cadillac bandmembers, but I'm not sure if any of them is our Flashman. One of the bandguys--the one in the rear on the right who looks like he's holding a bass guitar--looks an awful lot like Dick Nasty. A bit of trivia: Flash Cadillac is the band featured in George Lucas' "American Graffiti."

I received another email from someone who wishes to remain annonymous.

Annonymous writes: "Jimmy, Flashman claims a lot of things but what he really does is recruit Pornstars to work for Exotica-2000 - Porn Star Escorts. He also writes a column for an online "adult" magazine (I forget the name)."

I should add that I received a phone call from someone today who also claims our Mr. Flashman recruits porn girls for extra-curricular activities---whatever those activities happen to be (hint, hint... nudge, nudge... know what I mean?)

I'm not prepared to go so far as to say Flashman is in the business of porn star procurement. Plus, as DUC, i.e., Luke Ford, pointed out in his recent, rambling prose, I have a "tendency to be a little timid in criticizing his (my) fellow porners," assuming Flashman actually qualifies as a "fellow porner." But I must admit, when I look at the pic I posted here I'm thinking, "If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck and swims like a duck, it must be a duck."

Which would make this duck, DUC's duck.
