CARLY FORD TAKES ME TO TASK

I believe in a gossip site wherein adolescent frathouse porn humor can reside alongside writing on an intellectual level of, as you term it, "a middle-school, reading-comprehension level."
(jimmyD sez: Yep. This is great shit. It's got some REAL emotion and REAL belief sewn into those words. It definitely has to be used as part of a gossip site manifesto, or something like that.)
I do not believe in a kinder, gentler porn gossip site.

Luke Ford.com has never been about that, I don't think, and that's part of what makes the site popular. I was being honest when I wrote, in my introductory post, that I had no intentions of fucking with the formula. In fact, I don't want to do a lot of the writing for that site - I want to take care of it while I find the people that I think will continue the proud tradition of making fun of the industry in the way it so richly deserves, but ultimately, I do want to take more of a background role in it because I've got a shitload of other stuff going on, part of which being the updating of my own site.

But one thing you may have noticed, Jimmy D, is that after the real Luke Ford blazed a path through our industry, a huge amount of the gossip flow stopped. Sure it's still prevalent -- after all, people aren't going to stop being fuck-ups, but some of them have learned not to talk about it so much... or at least, not to talk about it to people who have websites.
(jimmyD sez: Yep, she's definitely their publicist. If not officially, she's at the very least, their "de facto" publicist at this point.)
It is my firm belief that Luke Ford.com will only be as good as the writers who write it -- some of whom I'm talking to now -- and the gossip that's presented to it. And so I say bring it on - let's have some fucking fun already.
jimmyD sez: Well, that all sounds good and all, but what happens if one of Sin Spin's clients does something really stupid. Will they be ridiculed? Humiliated? I definitely see some potential conflicts here.
