WHEN MORONS SPEAK...

Sin City Story jimmyd _writes "Some of you might have read the short article on SetGo.com about this guy Tim who was laid off from Sin City. I don't know what the truth is in this matter, and I don't have any interest in trying to find out what that truth is, but I was particularly taken back with the response of setgo/DUC's source at Sin City.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, if there's one mandate Dave Sturman should impose on his employees it's this: Tell them all to shut the fuck up!

The retard who spoke with Luke--and I'm guessing it wasn't the janitor or some guy in the warehouse-- probably just did more damage than the original story did; assuming the original story did any real damage at all.

First off, the reasons behind Tim's termination now become even more suspect when DUC's Sin City source makes statements like "Furthermore, Sin City could care less about Tim anyway..."

It really makes Sin City look like a warm, caring place when a long-term, partly-disabled employee loses his job while (according to the article) on medical leave. And it gets worse when a source, supposedly speaking on behalf of the company, says the company could "care less" about this employee--especially when it's an employees of whom it's said has health issues.

I know. I know. Maybe it wasn't meant that way. Maybe it was just a poor choice of words. But you know what? The jerk who spoke to DUC knew he or she would be quoted in print. So "poor choice of words" just don't cut it as far as I'm concerned. Further reason people like this should either shut the fuck up, or not appear to speak for the company. I don't suppose it occured to this person to respond with something like this: "Sin City always regrets having to lay-off any of our hard-working employees. In this case, we were delighted when John Chambliss was able to offer our former employee a job. If it's true that he no longer works there, we sincerely hope that he quickly finds other, suitable employment."

Would that not have been a better way to respond to the allegations made on setgo.com? And that took me like two-minutes to write. I'm sure it could be said in an even better way.

The Sin City source also states that "Tim was not fired when on leave, but laid off because his supervisor, Josie Snyder, decided to open her own company, and his position was no longer needed."

So, if you work for a company for a long time, and your boss quits, that means you get fired? I mean laid-off? Maybe it's me, but that sounds pretty fucked up. Does that mean that the department Tim worked in no longer exists? Was there no other job at Sin City Tim could have transfered to?

Hey, I'm only asking this shit because the dumbfuck who spoke to Luke put both his or her feet in their mouth.

And what about that part where the source said, "SC was glad John hired him so he would have no claim of any damages." How about SC was glad John hired him because John was good enough to hire an ex-employee who was regretably laid-off and who suddenly needed a freaking job?

You know, Tod Hunter says that people in this business should not talk to the press because the press "is not your friend." Well, another reason is that there are idiots like this one at Sin City who open their mouths and make shit really look like shit!

And I'll go way out on a limb here and guess that the Sin City source is speaking of a "state unemployment insurance claim," when speaking of Tim having no "claim of any damages." But since the article said that Tim is suing--and he's suing for wrongful termination, which I'm also guessing means Tim might have a lawyer-- it seems to me that getting hired somewhere else has little or no bearing on that one.

Anyway, I'd like to personally thank DUC's Sin City source for giving me something to write about today. If there were less 'tards in the jizz bizz, guys like me wouldn't have websites like this because there'd be very little to write about, unless I just wanted to write articles that cheerlead this shit we do.

By the way, did I mention that my Alexa rating is now in the high thirty-thousands? Ten months ago I was like two-hundred-and-eighty-something-thousand. Not bad, huh?

Maybe I should consider selling some banner space?
