LUKE FORD'S BRAND OF "YELLOW JOURNALISM"

 jimmyd _writes "As I perused the porn news-and-gossip sites this morning, I couldn't help but notice that Luke Ford (writing on SetGo.com) lifted my article about "The Sopornos" and reprinted it.
Well, he didnt' actually reprint the whole article, he printed what he wanted to print from the article. And what he wanted to print were the parts that fitted his ongoing anti-porn, shit-stirring-yet-don't-rock-the boats-you-don't-want-to-rock, brand of biased, porn-related, "yellow journalism."
If you're unfamiliar with the term "yellow journalism," here's a quick education on the subject:
In 1898, newspapers provided the major source of news in America. At this time, it was common practice for a newspaper to report the editor's interpretation of the news rather than objective journalism. If the information reported was inaccurate or biased, the American public had little means for verification. With this sort of influence, the newspapers wielded much political power. In order to increase circulation, the publishers of these papers often exploited their position by sponsoring a flamboyant and irresponsible approach to news reporting that became known as "yellow journalism." Though the term was originally coined to describe the journalistic practices of Joseph Pulitzer, William Randolph Hearst proved himself worthy of the title. Today, it is his name that is synonymous with "yellow journalism."
And for the past 5 or 6 years or so in porn, Luke Ford's name has been synonymous with "yellow journalism."
So please everyone, do me a favor. Whenever Luke Ford (the guy, not the website) reprints something from my site, please go to my site and read it there. You'll often find it's somewhat different from what Luke copies. You'll find what I wanted to say is often not what Luke Ford would have you believe I wanted to say.
