19th Century newspaperman Horace Greeley is best known for saying "Go West, young man." Although that's not exactly what Horace said (he was a bit more eloquent), that's the common quote attributed to him.

I took Horace's advice years ago when I set out from my home in New Jersey (I lived a town or so from where Tony Soprano lives) and came to California. Sometime after my arrival in California, I met a guy named Horace Greedy, and Horace Greedy--who loved to be confused with Horace Greeley--had similar-sounding, but very different advice.

Horace Greedy said, "Go for the green, boy. Go for the green."

"Go for the green," was neither an Irish thing, or a golfing term. Horace was talking about money, dinero, cake, coinage, dough, moola... and that's just what I've done: Maybe not as effectively and successfully as Horace would have liked me to, but I've tried.

What the fuck's all this Horace shit about, you ask?

Well, lately it seems every fucking pornographer and their Mother is sending me a press release about another piece of smut they're about to put out. I'm certainly not going to put up all this shit that gets sent to me. What do I look like? LukeFord.com? TheRealGeneRoss.com? AVN.com???

But I will put up some of it.

Which of it do I put up, you ask?

Well, I'll just take Horace Greedy's advice and "Go for the green!"

What does that mean?

It means I ain't stupid. It means I know where my loaf is buttered. It means I'll sometimes forsake the usual keen, intuitive, intellectual text this website is so well known for, and sell my writer's soul for a few gold coins. You see, if I'm going to shill, I'm going to shill for those who contribute and/or support the jimmyD charity fund. Like I said, I ain't fucking stupid in spite of how I look.

In other words, like all good pornographers, I'm a fucking whore.
