Nikita Denise called me last night. I've known Nikita a long time and shot her quite a few times. She won (along with others) a "Best Group Sex Scene" AVN Award for her role in "Succubus," a flick I wrote and directed for VCA a year or two ago.
Nikita's not too happy with all the press that’s been given to the feud that’s apparently been going on between her and the Kerkoves (Bridgette and Skeeter). She’s also not too thrilled with allegations that claim she has problems with the INS, IRS, excessive vodka drinking, and relationships with companies.
I told Nikita right up front I didn’t want to get in the middle of this. But she was insistent on telling me her side of the story. After listening to her I advised her to just let it all go. That’s right, she should let it go. Why? Well, because this feud is already ancient history in porn news-n-gossip reckoning (which means it’s at least a week or so old). Plus I told her that should this site-- or some other site-- publish her version of the story it would only fan the flames of a mostly burnt-out story and re-start the feud. And in my experience, re-started feuds sometimes become nastier than the original feud.
So again I advised, “Let it fucking go.”
Somewhat hesitantly, she finally agreed to let it go; at least that’s what she told me she would do. But there were a few things she hoped I’d relay. First off, she says she’s learned a valuable lesson about becoming too involved in the problems or relationship issues going on with another couple.
“You’ll always end up the bad guy in those situations,” I said in my best 'wise old sage' voice.
Nikita wholeheartedly agreed with that observation and says she will never, ever become closely involved with another couple—friends or not-- that way again. Nikita also said she’s learned that she cannot have close friends in the porn biz.
“It vill alvayz ent batly,” she said in her deep, sultry, Eastern-Euro, Natasha-like voice.
I told her I didn’t entirely agree. (But then, I don’t entirely disagree.)
I'd also like to mention that I'm real proud of myself for my behavior during this entire serious conversation. I don't remember cracking a single fucking joke, and throughout our phone talk I constantly and successfully resisted the urge to ask her to say "moose and squirrel" just one more time for me.
As far as the future goes, Nikita said she wishes Bridgette and Skeeter well. She also wants everyone to know that she has no problems with the INS or the IRS, nor does she have a drinking problem (she does enjoy a drink, but not excessively, she said). Nikita would also like to remind all the companies she’s worked for in the past that she’s always been a complete professional, given her best, and nothing--as far as that goes-- has changed in any way.
