Today begins a new series of interest on simplyjimmyd.com. We're going to look back on the early lives of porn people we've all come to know and love.
Back in the turbulent sixties, when many young people were pushing the anti-authority envelope, a few daring, young men and women defied peer pressure and did it their way. The Adult Biz's own Gene Ross was just such a young man.
Few are aware that before the days when most male models and fashion designers were out of the closet, Gene was a male model of some promise. He also pursued a career as a men's clothing designer!
Gene, or Gino as he was known within the swank world of fashion and photography, designed a line of men's fashion that bucked the psychedelic, hippy trend of the day.
Pictured above wearing one of his trademark "Gino" ensembles that often featured bold striped and plaid fabrics, silk shirts, and groovy ascots, we can only wonder about the authenticity of the hair.
Well, that's it for today's installment of, "What Did They Do Then?" Look for future articles detailing the early lives of celebrated pornographers right here on simplyjimmyd.com!
