FAMED PHOTOGRAPHER'S FRONT PEOPLE RESPOND :: Simply Jimmy D :: Breakin' News or Breakin' Balls: It's all the same to me!

jimmyd _writes "Just got back to the office from spending half the day doing what I usually do... and if you don't know what that is by now, I'm not going to waste time describing it.

On second thought, I've got some time to waste.

So I just got back to the office from spending half the day panhandling in front of the 7-11 at Devonshire and Topanga. It was a pretty good day. I begged $3.62 by telling some marks my car ran out of gas and I needed to get home to Simi Valley and feed my 12 children the pork & beans I just shoplifted from Ralphs. I also pulled enough aluminum cans from the trash cans to put another $2.30 in my pocket. Can you believe some cheap fuck gave me pennies? Anyway, it was enough to buy myself a hearty lunch at Del Taco. $5.92 buys enough 39 cent tacos with a diet Coke (free refills) to tide me over for awhile and leave me with some change for bus fare.

So I get back to the office and log onto my email server and there's this letter from Jeff Mullen of All Media Play. I guess Jeff read my article yesterday about their press release for their famed photographer, Adam Blai.

Here's what Jeff had to say: JimmyD-- I must say that your piece about Adam Blai and the Taft Building was incredibly funny. One of our publicists here at All Media Play, Shari, has tears in her eyes from laughing so hard after we read it. Bravo!

jimmyD sez: Story of my life-- I'm more apt to put tears in a girl's eyes than lust. Oh well...

Jeff continues: In defense of our offices and the Taft Building, this is now one of the urban renewal areas where the rents are getting a bit pricey compared to what they were a five years back once they build that subway. The Taft Building did go through a huge renovation and believe me when I tell you that it is back to its original early splendor. It is a beautiful place and our offices are among the best in LA as we gutted the wing and did our thing with floor to ceiling glass and all that stuff.

jimmyD sez: Jeff's a freaking poet: "...we gutted the wing and did our thing..." I like that!

More from Jeff: I guess the point is that you are a funny MF and your points are well taken, even though they are a bit dated.

As far as the photography situation, Adam (Blai) is quite an excellent shooter and does deliver. He is sequestered back in our studio shooting what is truly 'free' shots for the new girls. There really are no strings attached at all. Hard to believe I know, but sometimes you just have to say 'what the fuck'.

In fact, I think I was saying it long before Tom Cruise put on those RayBans and uttered the same line--making it kinda famous--in "Risky Business." And being the good natured kinda guy I am, I'm gonna say "what the fuck" on this Adam Blai thing, turn off my scam radar, and take your word for it that it's all on the up-and-up... cuz, like I said, that's the kinda guy I am!

P.S. Is Shari a hottee? And if so, can your famed photographer whip up a few pics of her--preferably in the same style he'll be shooting the porn stars--so you can email them to me?
