Actually, they’re already here and I was shooting for them for the past three days.
The show is called Porn Week and what they do is bring along a bunch of “guests” who get to hang out with pornstars and porn peeps while a bunch of porn gets made.
The “guests” were mostly Brits as well, although there was a Dutch guy and a Russian guy and a couple of American guys amongst them. The talent was a mix of British and American girls as well as meatpuppets. We shot both hard and soft as there’s a cable deal for these Porn Week productions. Porn Week, I’m told, also takes place in the U.K. as well as other countries around the world. I overheard them talking about the recent Porn Week in Prague and, for that show, they brought along about 70 guests! For Porn Week here, in the Valley, there were about a dozen “guests.” These are all paying guests, btw. Brilliant idea! Fucking genius! The “guests” bankroll a big chunk of the content by paying for their unusual and fun-filled & porn-filled vacations. And participating in Porn Week, as a “guest,” ain’t cheap!
Besides having front-row seats and interacting with the pornstars, the “guests” are also treated to field-trips to popular tourist attractions and nights-out to clubs — shuttled around by Natalie and Rachel, a couple of very easy-to-look-at Porn Week tour guides. They also stay in very upscale hotels, receive all their meals and plenty of liquid refreshments, etc., as part of the package.
You might be thinking some of these “guests” would be totally on the pervy side but that wasn’t the case at all. From what I saw, these guys were all completely respectful of the talent at all times while having a great time. Interestingly, most of them were as interested in “how” porn gets made as they were in watching it get made. It was a little weird at times, shooting with all these enthusiastic guys crowded around me, and I’ll admit it sometimes felt claustrophobic but, all-in-all, everything went quite smoothly and I had a good time! Garry, Porn Week’s producer, runs a tight ship and the guests’s itinerary was always kept moving forward and on schedule. (Since they’re Brits, it was on-SHED-jewel.)
Above is a shot I snapped of Jayna Oso with my Porn Week camera. I shot the stills for the show as well as one of the video-cams– High-Def of course.

A week ago or so, I was hired for a gig that I really and thoroughly enjoyed: Shooting stills for Tera Patrick’s company, TeraVision. That meant photographing a couple of Vivid contract girls (Stefani Morgan and Tiffany Taylor) AND shooting the Goddess of Glam herself, Tera Patrick.
For me, it was my first time shooting Tera. In fact, it was the first time we’d been introduced. I landed this plum assignment when Tera, and her husband/partner Evan Seinfeld ,saw some of my work from Nautica Thorn Productions’ first flick, “Nautica Thorn’s All Access.”
“Who shot these?” TeraVision’s principals asked.
“JimmyD.”
“Book him for our show.”
Okay, that’s probably a very condensed version of the conversation plus I heard it second-hand, but that’s basically how it was told to me. So that’s all I’m gonna say about it. I think that’s quite enough shameless self-promotion and jerking off my own ego for one simplyjimmyd post. Instead, let me tell you about Tera.
I’ve thought about this and there’s one word that keeps coming to mind to describe Tera’s physical presence: Majestic.
That’s right, majestic, as in possessing majesty, stately, magnificent, and regal. Plus, she’s simply HOT!
She’s one of the very few women in adult I would say that about — not the hot part, the majestic part — and I don’t know who else I’d categorize this way? (At least, of those I’ve met and photographed or videotaped or both.) That’s not to say there aren’t other chicks in this biz who have incredible looks and personnas and charisma and are very special in some very unique ways, I just wouldn’t categorize them as being “majestic.”
Tera’s also sweet and friendly and totally professional. When it comes to getting in front of the camera, she knows exactly what she’s doing and how best to “play” to the camera. While shooting her, I felt like my job was little more than pressing my finger on the shutter release. So little direction is needed when the model busts one perfect pose after another and drills the lens with sultry expression after sultry expression.
All I can say is shooting Tera is a photographer’s joy ride!

Some of you might know who Petter Hegre is. If you don’t, here’s the basic 411 on the guy: He’s one of the most famous and successful naked chick photographers in the world. You can check out some of his work by taking the tour at one of his sites, Hegre-Art.com.
Hegre also publishes a print magazine, The New Nude. You can pick up a copy of “The New Nude” at most newstands. It’s also an e-Zine. Anyway, I posted up a few pics at the online version of the “The New Nude” and, to my surprise, I’m the “Winner of the Week” for a B&W shot of our very own Cindy Crawford. I titled the image “Insanity.” If you know Cindy, you know it’s appropriate at times. Here’s the winning pic below. BTW, my winning photo gets me a free subscription (30 days) to Hegre-Art. Whoopee! More naked chics to check out. Something I so rarely get to do working in this biz!
